PrimeHealth Weight Loss Review – I Got Approved, Here’s What To Expect

During a week full of client questions about PrimeHealth, I decided to try it myself. I took the quiz, got approved, and heard back from their team. In this article, I walk through the full experience—cost, timeline, and who it’s really for—so you can decide if it’s the right fit.

During this last week, I have been getting A TON of questions from my clients on PrimeHealth, a compounded GLP-1 weight loss provider. They are all saying they keep seeing them show up in their social feeds, and they're wondering if it can actually help them lose weight.

This happens a lot in my community because we're all on a journey to better health, and most of my clients' goals are to lose weight and keep it off. My system, as a dietitian, is high protein meals and strength training. However, I understand that some men and women do everything right (diet, exercise, sleep, etc.), but still can't seem to shed those extra pounds.

That's where a service like PrimeHealth could help. But, before you go ahead and order, I'd like to share my experience with PrimeHealth. I took their quiz, got all the way to checkout, purchased, and even had a response back from their medical team.

What the PrimeHealth Process Is Like

After seeing the ad several times (just like many of my clients), I decided to try it out for myself so I could report back with an honest, informed perspective.

The first step is a quick online quiz. It asks about your medical history, current weight, past attempts at weight loss, and general lifestyle questions. It was straightforward and only took about two minutes to complete.

I took some screen shots of the quiz below so you can get a good idea of what they'll be asking you – take a look:

Once I finished the quiz, I was instantly pre-approved and taken to a checkout page. The pricing was clearly displayed:

  • $299/month for compounded semaglutide
  • $399/month for compounded tirzepatide (interesting they still offer this, considering the FDA has confirmed the shortage is over)

You can actually get $120 off your first month, which brings the price down to $179 or $279, depending on the plan you choose – see my screen shot below:

That price includes everything — a 4-week supply of medication, physician evaluations, unlimited clinician access, shipping, and even lab work if required. No hidden fees.

I went ahead and completed checkout, and within 24 hours, I received a follow-up from their medical team. My intake had been reviewed, and I was fully approved for treatment. The process was fast and very clear, which I appreciated.

Below is a screenshot of after I completed checkout – I then had to schedule my consultation, which doesn't cost anything extra. Plus, they gave me a free diet and training PDF, along with some decent resources.

You’ll receive a new shipment each month and have access to their team for questions or dosage adjustments as needed. There’s no contract — you can cancel any time before the next month’s prescription is processed.

Full transparency, I do not need the medication, so I asked for a refund, and they issued it within 24 hours. This checked the box that PrimeHealth is a legit brand. Again, I was just testing this process to then report back to my clients who wanted to know how this service was.

I do have some clients that are using PrimeHealth, so I asked them how their experience has been so far.

What My Clients Are Saying

Some of my clients have already been using PrimeHealth and shared their experiences with me. Here's what I’m hearing:

  • “The communication was quick and respectful. I felt well taken care of.”
  • “The process is so easy, and they have a $120 off your first month.”
  • “I liked how easy it was to cancel when I wanted to take a break. They didn’t make it hard.”
  • “It was nice not needing insurance or waiting on approvals.”
  • “I’ve lost 12 pounds in two months, and I haven’t changed much in my routine outside of using the meds.”

Of course, everyone’s body responds differently — and medication is only part of the puzzle. I always recommend pairing this kind of treatment with a supportive plan like strength training and a high-protein diet for best results.

Who Is PrimeHealth a Good Fit For?

From what I experienced and what I’ve seen with my clients, PrimeHealth is a good fit if:

  • You’re looking for a no-insurance-required, all-inclusive telehealth provider
  • You want a flat monthly price (no hidden fees or dose-based increases)
  • You value fast approval and home delivery from licensed U.S. providers
  • You want access to compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide

It’s probably not the best fit if you’re looking for brand-name GLP-1s (like Ozempic® or Wegovy®), as PrimeHealth specializes in compounded versions only. For insurance coverage providers, check out Fridays, Found or FuturHealth – my community and I have found those to be the best insurance-coverage options.

A Quick Note for Midlife Women

If you’re in perimenopause or menopause, your hormones are shifting — and that changes how your body responds to weight loss. I always recommend starting with strength training and protein, but I also know that sometimes, we need extra support.

In that case, it’s really important to choose the right provider — one who understands the needs of midlife women. GLP-1s have shown to help women in menopause. If that’s you, I’ve put together a separate guide just for you:

Final Thoughts

PrimeHealth is a legitimate service offering compounded GLP-1s through a seamless telehealth process. It’s one of the faster, simpler platforms I’ve tested — and while I didn’t continue with them long-term (I’m currently testing another provider for comparison), I can confidently say they’re a solid option for the right person.

If you’ve been doing everything “right” and still feel stuck, something like PrimeHealth might be worth looking into. Just make sure to pair it with strength training, a high-protein plan, and a provider you trust.
