All About LifeMD Medical Weight Loss

lifemd weight loss medication

I have found that LifeMD offers a very well-rounded approach to losing weight. They offer a variety of services, such as lab testing, GLP-1 medications and ongoing support and guidance from board-certified physicians.

LifeMD offers medications such as semaglutide, liraglutide, dulaglutide and tirzepatide. The one that you’re prescribed will be based on the information that you’ve provided in your initial questionnaire. LifeMD also helps guide you with counting your calories and keeping up with an exercise program.

My Experience With LifeMD Weight Loss

I have signed up for a few different weight-loss programs to see what they’re all about, and LifeMD is definitely one of the more straightforward ones. I originally wanted to use LifeMD to drop some of that baby weight that I was still carrying around. It wasn’t coming off with just exercise and diet alone. I communicated all of this during the initial signup process, which took about 10 minutes to complete. I received my response and medication recommendation very quickly.

You can have LifeMD send you your prescription through the mail, but I wanted to get my hands on it sooner. I chose to pick up my prescription from my local pharmacy.

The medication I received was semaglutide, which is a weekly injection. As far as the medication is concerned, I tolerated it pretty well. The first week, I experienced some GI upset, but that eventually went away. I was able to touch base with the LifeMD team to confirm that the side effect was typical. I would say I lost about 2.5% of my body weight within the first 6 weeks of using semaglutide. Some people experience greater weight loss, according to the brand’s website.

I didn’t have a lot of weight to lose, so semaglutide wasn’t something that I chose to stay on for very long. However, I will say that this was a very simple process to use for obtaining medication. It was also very affordable. There are different membership plans that you can consider when you’re signing up.

How Much Weight Can You Lose With LifeMD?

According to LifeMD, some people report losing 5% of their body weight within the first 4 to 8 weeks of treatment with weight-loss medication.

How Much Does LifeMD Cost?

The LifeMD Weight Management Program costs $129 each month. Your payment goes towards your telehealth visits, a potential prescription for GLP-1 medication (the medication itself is not covered by this fee), medical lab testing and ongoing support from leading clinicians.

What I Like

  • Fast sign-up process
  • Access to GLP-1 weight-loss medication
  • Ongoing support

What Could Be Improved?

  • The cost of medication could be included in your membership fee.

What Is Found Medical Weight Loss?

found weight loss medication

Found medical weight loss considers a variety of factors that may apply to why you’re having trouble losing weight. This can include things like genetics, hormones, metabolism, diet, lifestyle and even your gut health. Found strives to not only provide you with the medication you need to lose weight, but they also educate people so they can live a healthier life overall. Your initial sign-up questionnaire will help the Found team determine which medication option is right for you.

My Experience With Found Weight Loss

The process of signing up with Found is a little longer than what I’ve experienced with other weight-loss companies. The information required was pretty basic, though. Once I was done, I was able to set up a telehealth call with someone from the Found team. A number of details were discussed during this call, including what I’ve been trying while attempting to lose weight and any health issues that I might be dealing with that could impact my ability to lose weight or use a GLP-1 medication. Some of the sign-up and tele-health process didn’t really apply to me. For example, genetics isn’t an issue, as most of my family is within a healthy weight range.

After receiving my prescription, I chose to order my Found medication through the mail. It was winter, and I didn’t feel like having to drive to a pharmacy periodically to get my product. The shipment process was very fast, and I was using my ozempic in no time.

How Much Weight Can You Lose With Found?

The amount of weight that you lose with Found will depend on which medication you’re prescribed, your diet and how much you’re exercising. However, Found advertises that you can lose up to 20% of your body weight within the first year of starting this program.

How Much Does Found Weight Loss Cost?

The price of Found will vary based on the membership you choose and how often you want to make payments. If you sign up for an annual membership, the cost is just under $600 if you pay all at once. Choosing to go month-to-month will raise the price a bit.

What I Like

  • A large variety of weight-loss medications are available.
  • Thorough review process

What Could Be Improved?

  • I think Found should be more transparent with their pricing.
