My community is buzzing right now over HealthRX. I'm getting tons of questions, and several women in my nutrition coaching program have already signed up with them—so I reached out to hear how it's going. This article is a resource I’m sharing with those women (and any of you!) trying to lose weight and wondering if HealthRX is a good option.
There’s also a bit of healthy skepticism: Is HealthRX actually legit? Can they really help you lose weight with medications like Semaglutide and Tirzepatide?
So I looked into it—and even took the quiz twice myself.
✅ First time, I said I had a BMI over 30, and I was instantly pre-approved.
⛔ The second time, I said my BMI was 27 with no other medical conditions, and I was not approved.
That was actually a good sign—they are screening responsibly. Now, here’s what you need to know.
What's HealthRX?
HealthRX is a telemedicine platform that offers access to compounded GLP-1 medications. These medications work by mimicking the effects of natural hormones that influence appetite and metabolism. They’re not brand-name prescriptions but rather custom-formulated compounds made in U.S.-based pharmacies.
I Took the HealthRX Quiz—Twice
Since so many of my clients were asking about HealthRX, I figured I’d go through the process myself. Actually, I did it twice.
The first time, I entered a BMI over 30—and I was approved for treatment almost immediately. The second time, I set my BMI at 27 but didn’t include any weight-related conditions (like high blood pressure or prediabetes), and I wasn’t approved.
I thought that was an important distinction. It shows HealthRX does have a screening process in place and isn’t just approving everyone who clicks “submit.” So if you’re wondering whether you’ll qualify, it really does depend on your BMI and your overall health profile.
Here are some screen shots that I saved for y'all:

What’s Included in the Program:
- 1-month supply of compounded GLP-1 injections
- Syringes and alcohol prep pads
- Free shipping
- Access to the medical team for questions or dose adjustments
The pricing is $249.99/month for compounded semaglutide and $349.99/month for compounded tirzepatide.
One thing I appreciated: the dose doesn’t affect the price. It stays the same regardless of increases, which can be a big deal as many other providers raise prices once you titrate up.
What My Clients Are Saying
Some of my clients who use HealthRX have told me they appreciate how fast the shipping is (typically within 48 hours after approval). Others mentioned they like how easy the platform is to navigate and how responsive the care team is.
They also offer a 10% weight-loss guarantee—if you don’t lose at least 10% of your body weight in four months, you may qualify for a refund. Keep in mind, though, that this guarantee only applies if you stick to the protocol and meet their terms.
Note for My Midlife Clients
If you’re in perimenopause or menopause and struggling with weight gain, you’re not alone—and you’re not doing anything wrong. Hormonal changes can make it harder to lose weight with diet and exercise alone.
Here’s what I recommend for most of my clients in this stage of life:
- Strength training + high-protein meals – These are the foundation for maintaining muscle and boosting metabolism after 40. If you’re not sure where to start, the FHM+ App has everything you need.
- Consider HRT – Sometimes, no matter what you do, hormone imbalances make progress feel impossible. If you think this might be part of your story, take my quick “Do I Need HRT?” Quiz to find out if it could help.
- Explore GLP-1 medications for menopause – If you’ve tried everything and still feel stuck, GLP-1 medications can be a game-changer. I put together a menopause GLP-1 guide and the best GLP-1 providers for menopause to help you get started safely and confidently.
You don’t have to figure it all out alone—there are modern tools and support available to help you feel like you again.
Things to Know
- HealthRX only provides compounded GLP-1s, not name-brand options.
- The medications are formulated in compounding pharmacies in the U.S., but they are not FDA-approved.
- As of early 2025, the FDA has removed compounded semaglutide from the shortage list, which may impact availability through some providers. HealthRX still offers it, likely due to their formulation and the addition of vitamins like B12, but I am not sure on this one.
- You do not need insurance to use their service.
Final Thoughts
If you’re looking for an online provider that gives you access to compounded GLP-1s, HealthRX could be a convenient, fairly priced option. It’s not the most personalized program out there, but it’s fast, simple, and responsive—and for many women, that’s a win.
Just make sure you qualify. Based on my experience, they follow clear eligibility rules. If you’re approved, you’ll be shipped your compounded medication with all the supplies you need to get started.
If you're struggling to lose weight during menopause, it’s okay to need support beyond diet and exercise. I recommend starting with strength training and high-protein meals (like my community does in the FHM+ App), but if you need a clinical tool, it’s good to know what your options are.
Note: Always consult your healthcare provider before beginning any weight loss program.
